DTC Code: B0053 (GM VEHICLES)

GM Chevy Buick Cadillac SRS Airbag Code B0051, B0052, B0053, Deployment Commanded

If you get DTC Code: B0051, B0052, B0053 Deployment Commanded, 

It will not clear or erase with any scanner. Your code is hard embedded. This Code Is Very Often Among Most GM Vehicles.
For Ex. Buick, Cadillac, Chevrolet, GMC, Hummer, Oldsmobile, Pontiac, Saturn. 

Code Meaning:

Your airbag module has crash data and will always appear disconnected when connecting with a OBD2 Scanner. Typically results after an accident or deployment of your airbags and or seat belt. 


You have a few options for repair.

  1. You can purchase a new airbag module which could cost $100's. 
  2. Have Your Airbag Module Cleared & Reset for only $49.99
  3. You also likely need your seat belts repaired. If you have one 1 plug select here, If two then please select here
  4. Seat Belt Replacements are often costly and may require additional programming.
